I often get asked, \”What\’s the best way to burn fat and lose my belly?\” People want to know if aerobics is better than strength training, or if traditional cardio exercise is better than intervals.

Well, to say I\’ve done them all would be an understatement.

Using laboratory research and training for at least 15 years both for myself and sports I can tell you what exercises work and what don\’t.

Some people can spend 90 minutes per day on exercise and others cannot. I want to help those of you who are limited on time. Let\’s see what works best for you.

Exercise magazines portray that we need 90 minutes to exercise. People don\’t have that and disconnect.

You don\’t need 6-8 hours/week to exercise. Maybe if your goal is a triathlon you do. But for those of us trying to lose and tone there is still hope.

Therefore to get a better body, you need…

Your best results will be through warming up with your own body-weight. Use strength training for muscle buildup. And use interval training to finish up and burn fat fast. This system is structured for you to workout 3 times/week and be in and out of the gym in 45 minutes.

Spend 5 minutes warming up with bodyweight exercise. If you spend 5 minutes on a treadmill it will only prepare you for more time on the treadmill. Using bodyweight will be much more efficient.

Then we move into the strength training supersets, where we use two exercises performed back to back with minimum rest between each. This cuts our workout time, while still giving us maximum results. We only need 20 minutes for this, and we\’ll use basic exercises, and sometimes even more bodyweight exercises, depending on the client\’s goal for muscle building.

Last but not least, interval training for 18 minutes. It is important to warm up. Next do six short intervals at your skill level while using short periods of low intensity recovery.

Most people run, cycle or ride a cardio machine for 45 min. straight which will burn calories. But won\’t get you that six pack.

The downside to long cardio includes injuries due to overuse of a muscle and it really is an inefficient way to exercise. If you only have 30-45 minutes to workout, when are you going to work the rest of your muscle groups and get that beautiful body you want if you are on 1 cardio machine for 45 minutes?

So the best way to burn belly fat is with a combination of strength training and interval training. It\’s fast, it works, and it\’s fun!

Shoulder Joint Dislocation

A joint dislocation occurs when the two joint surfaces, which normally sit in intimate contact with each other, are wrenched away from each other to lie apart without any relationship. Joints have a surrounding ligamentous bag called a joint capsule and this can be typically injured as the surfaces force their way past each other. The surfaces of the joints themselves can be damaged as they hit each other on the way to becoming dislocated. Other injuries which can occur include damage to the local nerves and ligaments.

Of all joint dislocations, shoulder dislocations are the most common, making up almost half the total number of this kind of joint injury. An anterior dislocation, with the head of humerus coming off the shoulder socket to the front, is the most common form of this condition. The most usual position for the shoulder to dislocate in is when there is a force applied to the back of the arm with the arm in an outwardly rotated, extended and abducted position. Less commonly a blow to the back of the arm might do it, or a fall on the hand or just moving the arm forcefully outwards and rotating it externally.

Dislocations backwards are not common and due to force applied to the arm when it is over the body and turned inwards, with epileptic seizures and electrocution being possible causes as the big chest and back muscles pull the joint out due to spasms. The joint can also dislocate downwards if the arm is moved outwards and sideways with excessive force, levering the joint out against the part of the shoulder blade above it. This type of injury needs careful monitoring as it is more likely to be associated with other soft tissue injuries such as nerve injury, damage to the blood vessels and tears to the rotator cuff muscles.

There may be no trauma in some cases of shoulder dislocation and instability of the shoulder may occur in all joint directions, typical presenting in patients who have hypermobile joints. This condition is called multidirectional instability and tends to happen in both shoulders, run in the family and be in younger people under thirty. A joint subluxation is often the start of these problems, where the joint slips partly off its partner to an amount and then clicks back into place. An ability to voluntarily dislocate the shoulder can occur, perhaps related to psychiatric difficulties in this group of people.

The presentation of anterior dislocation of the shoulder is for the patient to hold their arm rotated outwards and slightly to the side, the arm bone head easily felt at the front of the joint. The shoulder muscles may be in a powerful spasm and trying to move the shoulder results in high levels of pain. A dislocation of the shoulder posteriorly shows itself by the patient keeping the arm close to the body and turned inwards, the head of the humerus being palpable at the rear of the joint, although this condition has been misdiagnosed as frozen shoulder.

The relocation of a shoulder dislocation is performed by surgeons in many different ways and the time from the incident to when the joint is finally relocated is the important matter. If the time is too long the muscle spasm increases and interferes with fixing the dislocation. An original way was to put a foot in the person’s axilla to make one end secure and traction the arm lengthways until the reduction is effected. Techniques have developed and an effective modern way is to abduct the shoulder whilst pushing the humeral head anteriorly, then rotate the arm externally and traction the arm, leading very often to success.

A significant part of a shoulder dislocation is pain and doctors have many ways of ensure the best pain relief and make the reduction process as easy as it can be. If the dislocation is recent then the joint may be relocated without much in the way of analgesics or muscle relaxing drugs. Androgenic Alopecia is also known as male pattern baldness,hereditary balding, and androgenetic alopecia. It is the most common form of hair loss. It has a higher incidence in men than in women mainly due to sex hormones.

Androgenic Alopecia is described as thinning of the hair on the scalp as opposed to follicular hair loss. Male pattern hair loss usually doesn’t present itself until after puberty when the male hormones are elevated. This is when someone with a genetic predisposition to balding will start to notice their hair thinning. Studies have shown that around half of all caucasian men over the age of 40 experience some form of hair loss. The occurence and severity in other cultures seems to be much lower, but still present.

Androgens, specifically testosterone and dihydrotestosterone or DHT, are necessary to activate the genes in the scalp to create hair loss. Your genes modify the way the scalp responds to circulating androgens in the blood.

Three key features of alopecia include: Follicular miniaturization. Hair follicles are full of androgen receptors and when androgens are present, genes that shorten the anagen phase are activated. Then the follicles may shrink or become miniaturized. Eventually the follicles shrink and nonpigmented vellus hairs replace pigmented terminal hairs. Males with alopecia have a reduction in terminal to vellus hair ratio and exhibit typical distribuion of hair loss. Areas of inflammation. It is widely believed that a variety of genetic and environmental factors contribute to androgenic alopecia. Even though researchers are hard at work studying the many possibilities, most of these remain unknown. Many scientists point to the maternal side of the equation for the link to the balding gene, but there seems to be conflicting evidence. There are other genes found to be involved with hair loss as well. In 2009, Japanese researchers identified a gene called Sox21, which they say is responsible for hair loss in people.

Scientists are just beginning to discover the complex map of the human genome. Mapping this enormous puzzle will take decades, so any evidence of the gene or genes responsible for hair loss won’t be completely evident for years to come.

Make sure you exercise for at least 10 minutes to get your heart rate going. Exercise hard enough so that you break out into a light sweat and you can feel your heart pumping, but not so hard that you can’t carry on a conversation.

Many people complain that they are too busy to work out. But there are many different ways that you can make exercise a priority in your life. Think about these fun ways to add exercise into your day.

Walk or ride your bike to work or school instead of driving or taking the bus. Take a nice long walk to a friend’s house to visit rather than driving in a car. It’s better for the environment too!

Toss around a Frisbee or a baseball at the park or organize a game of basketball if you are hanging out with your friends. Going on a date? Instead of sitting in a movie theater, how about going dancing or bowling?

Forget about the TV, video games or computer and get outside for some fresh air. Get on the bike trail or explore some local hiking trails. Bring along a group of friends to make it even more fun.

Join a team sport. Some companies offer after-hours organized sports teams for their employees. Get involved and play softball or volleyball with your coworkers. Many communities also offer park or recreational sports leagues. You don’t have to be competitive or a pro. Just do it for fun and relaxation! Go for a hike on some nature trails or take the bike out for a ride. As long as you are having a great time and enjoying being outside, that’s all that matters.

The more active you are, the better you will look and feel. You will also help prevent diseases like heart disease and stroke.
