Just 30 minutes of physical activity every day will help you look and feel better. Not only will you improve your muscle tone, but your skin benefits too. You will increase your body’s strength, have more energy and improve your body’s resistance to disease. Exercising will also help you fight depression and stress as well as improving your mental alertness. Most doctors agree that just 30 minutes of exercise or moderate activity daily will help you get healthy and stay that way. Working out can help prevent the three most common diseases in the United States: heart disease, stroke and type II diabetes.. Incorporating some exercise into your lifestyle is probably a lot easier than you think. If you are pressed for time, it is just as effective to break up the 30 minutes into shorter sessions. Make sure you exercise for at least 10 minutes to get your heart rate going. Exercise hard enough so that you break out into a light sweat and you can feel your heart pumping, but not so hard that you can’t carry on a conversation.
Many people complain that they are too busy to work out. But there are many different ways that you can make exercise a priority in your life. Think about these fun ways to add exercise into your day.
Walk or ride your bike to work or school instead of driving or taking the bus. Take a nice long walk to a friend’s house to visit rather than driving in a car. It’s better for the environment too!
Toss around a Frisbee or a baseball at the park or organize a game of basketball if you are hanging out with your friends. Going on a date? Instead of sitting in a movie theater, how about going dancing or bowling?
Forget about the TV, video games or computer and get outside for some fresh air. Get on the bike trail or explore some local hiking trails. Bring along a group of friends to make it even more fun.
Join a team sport. Some companies offer after-hours organized sports teams for their employees. Get involved and play softball or volleyball with your coworkers. Many communities also offer park or recreational sports leagues. You don’t have to be competitive or a pro. Just do it for fun and relaxation! Go for a hike on some nature trails or take the bike out for a ride. As long as you are having a great time and enjoying being outside, that’s all that matters.
If you are hanging out at the beach or pool, jump in and take a swim.
The more active you are, the better you will look and feel. You will also help prevent diseases like heart disease and stroke.

So if along with losing weight and getting in shape you also desire the toned appearance then you’ll be surprised to discover that it is not as hard as you might have at first thought. If you want to burn the fat for your desired look you will be amazed at how a little device called a pedometer will help you. It does so by giving the information needed to get the desired results.
Some may assume a heart rate monitor is a gimmick oriented product. To arrive at such a conclusion is the result of a lack of knowledge regarding what the device’s purpose truly is. A heart rate monitor is exactly as its name implies. Its purpose is to provide the person wearing the device with a clear understanding of how fast the heart is beating during an exercise program. This will allow the person exercising to maintain a heart rate that can promote fat loss.
When determining the heart rate that is best for you to burn fat, there are a few factors you need to know such as gender, weight, age and current physical activity and lifestyle. The things all play a role in the amount of fat you can burn during your exercise program.
For example, a person’s resting heart rate may be 65 beats per minute. When such an individual starts a light exercise program, the heart may rise to 110 beats per minute. That is fine as the additional 45 beats per minute will allow the body to burn carbs and some stored fat due to the energy expenditure. However, 110 beats per minute is no where near enough of an intensity level to melt away stubborn fat. Instead, it becomes necessary to raise one’s heart rate to 160 beats per minute.
You may wonder how it works when 165 beats per minute are hit and the reason is that at that rate carbohydrates and stored body fat are eliminated as a way to produce energy and continue the exercise regime at the same rate. A heart rate of 165 beats per minute is considered a fast jog where as 110 beats is a light jog. It is absolutely necessary to have a heart rate monitor when you are performing in a workout program because you need to check on your heart rate when exercising.
That is, if the person exercising needs to hit 165 to burn fat and the monitor is only showing 145, he/she can take the exercise session up a notch to maintain fat burning mode. Does this mean the person working out can only gain a benefit from the program when 165 beats are met? No, the exercise session will be beneficial regardless of what the heart rate monitor shows. But, one can get the most out of the session when the ability to maintain a proper heart rate is attained thanks to the accurate information put forth by the heart rate monitor.
